Vegconomist is the leading B2B media brand in the plant-based and alternative protein sector, publishing across English, German, French, and Spanish markets. The technical challenge is running four live editorial properties as a coherent infrastructure while keeping each edition independent enough for its editorial team to operate without cross-market coordination.
We joined as Fractional CTO in 2024 with a mandate covering everything from the WordPress update pipeline to adops integrations and incident response. The engagement is operational: we own the technical decisions, run the maintenance cycles, and are the first call when something breaks in production.
Alongside the ongoing Vegconomist work, we led the full technical launch of Cultivated-X by Vegconomist, a new brand within the same media group, built and shipped as a parallel workstream.
Vegconomist operates dedicated language editions for English, German, French, and Spanish audiences. Each edition runs independently but shares a common infrastructure managed through a single fractional CTO engagement. Update cycles, security patches, and performance work are coordinated across all four to avoid editorial disruption.
B2B media revenue depends on ad delivery reliability. We manage the adops layer, ad server configuration, tag manager setup, yield monitoring, ensuring that editorial publishing and commercial delivery do not interfere with each other under load.
Cultivated-X by Vegconomist is a standalone brand covering the cultivated meat and alternative protein sector. We led the full technical launch: infrastructure provisioning, custom WordPress theme build, editorial tooling setup, and the initial performance and security configuration before handover to the editorial team.
The public record confirms the websites and launch. The delivery scope comes from our project records. We keep those two evidence types separate.
Evidence reviewed
The four Vegconomist editions and Cultivated X were live when reviewed. Their public responses identify WordPress. Vegconomist published its own Cultivated X launch announcement in February 2024. These sources confirm the properties, publisher, platform, and launch timing. They do not credit our private delivery scope.
Our project records support the Fractional CTO role and the stated work on updates, incidents, performance, AdOps, staging, documentation, editorial tooling, and the Cultivated X technical launch. No independent audit of that delivery record is published.
